Goochland County is a great place to live, and has a lot to offer. The area west of the town of Goochland is mostly rural, with a few sub divisions. The land in the Western Part of Goochland county is beautiful, and offers great opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
The town of Goochland itself has a true small town feel of it. Goochland’s YMCA, the local Ford Dealership, various small shops, Goochland High School, the county offices, and a Food Lion are all located in the heart of Goochland.
The eastern part of the county is one of the fastest growing areas in Virginia. The land in Eastern Goochland is beautiful, but a little harder to come by. There are numerous subdivisions in this part of the county. Eastern Goochland is home to several top-notch Golf Courses, and the West Creek Business park. With Richmond just a 20 minute drive from Manakin-Sabot, this end of the county is very popular.
